purnaysya  purnam  adaya                    
  purnam  evavasisyate   


格首神既完美又完整. 因為祂既完美又完整, 一切流衍自祂的都是完美的整體. 圓滿的具備應有的一切, 就如這個現象世界. 任何產生自完整的整體, 本身也完整. 因為祂是完整的整體, 雖然有這樣多完整的單元自祂而流衍出, 但是祂依然既完整又均衡.

  The Personality of Godhead is perfect and complete, and because He is completely perfect, all emanations from Him, such as this phenomenal world, are perfectly equipped as complete wholes. Whatever is produced of the Complete Whole is also complete in itself. Because He is the Complete Whole, even though so many complete units emanate from Him, He remains the complete balance.

isavasyam idam sarvam
yat kinca jagatyam jagat
tena tyaktena bhunjitha
ma grdhah kasya svid dhanam

譯文:  
宇宙之內, 一切有生氣的與沒有生氣的, 都由主 Krishna 控制著, 由主所擁有. 因此, 人們祇應該接受他所需要的那一份, 而不應該接受其它的東西. 要知道這所有的一切都是屬於神的.


Everything animate or inanimate that is within the universe is controlled and owned by the Lord. One should therefore accept only those things necessary for himself, which are set aside as his quota, and one should not accept other things, knowing well to whom they belong

二】


kurvann  eveha  karmani                      
  jijivisec  chatam  samah                   
evam  tvari  nanyatheto  sti                       
 na  karma  lipyate  nare

譯文: 
人如果繼續這樣的工作, 便可以希望活上數百年, 因為這一類工作不會將他綑縛於因果定律中. 人在這條途徑上, 再也沒有別的選擇了.

One may aspire to live for hundreds of years if he continuously goes on working in that way, for that sort of work will not bind him to the law of karma. There is no alternative to this way for man.

  asurya  name  te  loka                        
     andhena  tamasavrtah                     
  tams  te  pretyabhigacchanti                        
     ye  ke  catma-hano  janah

 譯文 :
 殺害靈魂的人, 不管他是誰, 必定要進入充滿黑暗, 愚昧, 被稱之為無信仰者世界的星宿.

The killer of the soul, whoever he may be, must enter into the planets known as the worlds of the faithless, full of darkness and ignorance.

anejad  ekam  manaso  javiyo                    
   nainad  deva  apnuvan  purvam  arsat               
tad  dhavato  'nyan  atyeti  tisthat                    
   tasminn  apo  matarisva  dadhati

譯文 :
具有人格的首神, 雖然安處於祂的居所, 自己的行動卻比心意還要快, 超越其他一切生物的速度. 有著大力量的半神人也靠近不了祂. 雖然祂自處一隅, 卻支配著那些供應空氣, 陽光, 雨水的半神人. 祂超越一切所有的生物.

Although fixed in His abode, the Personality of Godhead is swifter than the mind and can overcome all others running. The powerful demigods cannot approach Him. Although in one place, He controls those who supply the air and rain. He surpasses all in excellence.

五】

tad  jati  tan  naijati                                  
   tad  dure  tad  u  antike                           
tad  antar  asya  sarvasya                                   
   tad  u  sarvasyasya  bahyatah 

譯文:
至尊主既行又止, 亦遠亦近, 祂在一切之內, 也在一切之外.

The Supreme Lord walks and does not walk. He is far away, but He is very near as well. He is within everything, and yet He is outside of everything.

 yas  tu  sarvani  bhutany                          
     atmany  evanupasyati                      
 sarva-bhutesu  catmanam                           
     tato  na  vijugupsate

譯文:
誰人看透萬事萬物, 都與至尊主有關聯, 看到芸芸眾生, 都是主的所屬個體, 也看見至尊主在一切之內, 便不怨恨任何事任何人.

He who sees everything in relation to the Supreme Lord, who sees all living entities as His parts and parcels, and who sees the Supreme Lord within everything never hates anything or any being.

 yasmin  sarvani  bhutany                       
    atmaivabhud  vijanatah                  
tatra  ko  mohah  kah  soka                      
    ekatvam  anupasyatah

譯文 :
一個人恆常視眾生物體為靈性火花,視其本質與主如一,便是真正洞悉事物的人.他又何來困惑煩擾呢?

One who always sees all living entities as spiritual sparks, in quality one with the Lord, becomes a true knower of things. What, then, can be illusion or anxiety for him?

sa paryagac chukram akayam avranam           
asnaviram suddham apapa-viddham          
kavir manisi paribhuh svayambhur             
yathatathyato rthan vyadadhac                
chasvatibhyah samabhyah


譯文:
像我們這樣的一般人應該實在的去認識那一位最偉大的人.祂不為體困,全知,無從譴責;軀體沒有血脈,品質純潔,全無沾染;是一為自足的哲人,亙古以來,祂一直在滿足每一人的願望.     

Such a person must factually know the greatest of all, the Personality of Godhead, who is unembodied, omniscient, beyond reproach, without veins, pure and uncontaminated, the self-sufficient philosopher who has been fulfilling everyone's desire since time immemorial.

九】

 andham  tamah  pravisanti                     
     ye  vidyam  upasate                 
 tato  bhuya  iva  te tamo                    
     ya  u  vidyayam  ratah

譯文 :
行為無知愚昧的人, 會墮入最黑暗的愚昧境域; 更壞的是那些培育所謂知識的人.                                  


Those who engage in the culture of nescient activities shall enter into the darkest region of ignorance. Worse still are those engaged in the culture of so-called knowledge.

十】

 anyad  evahur  vidyaya                    
    anyad  ahur  avidyaya                    
 iti  suaruma  dhiranam                     
    ye  nas  tad  vicacaksire

 譯文:
智者有言: 教育的成果有二, 一從培育知識得來,  另一從培育無知得來; 二者不盡相同.

The wise have explained that one result is derived from the culture of knowledge and that a different result is obtained from the culture of nescience.

十一】

vidyam cavidyam ca yas
   tad vedobhayam saha
avidyaya mrtyum tirtva
   vidyayamrtam asnute


譯文 :
人若能在培育無知 (物質知識) 的當下, 求取超然知識, 深究兩者; 才能超越重複的生與死, 不為所擾, 享受永生的喜樂.

Only one who can learn the process of nescience and that of transcendental knowledge side by side can transcend the influence of repeated birth and death and enjoy the full blessings of immortality.

十二】

 
andham  tamah  pravisanti
    ye  sambhutim  upasate
 tato  bhuya  iva  te  tamo
    ya  u  sambhutyam  ratah


 譯文:
 那些膜拜半神人的人,墮進黑暗的愚昧境地,那些膜拜絕對真理非人性一面的人更甚

Those who are engaged in the worship of demigods enter into the darkest region of ignorance, and still more so do the worshipers of the impersonal Absolute.

十三】

anyad evahuh sambhavad
   anyad ahur asambhavat
ili susyuma dhiranam
   ye nas tad vicacaksire 

中譯:
崇拜的成果有二,一從崇拜至高無上的萬物之源得來

一從崇拜不是至高無上的那處得來,不為物念所擾的權威人仕,


詳盡解釋了這兩點。

It is said that one result is obtained by worshiping the supreme cause of all causes and that another result is obtained by worshiping what is not supreme. All this is heard from the undisturbed authorities, who clearly explained it

sambhutim ca vinasam ca
    yas tad vedobhayam saha
vinasena mrtyum tirtva
    sambhutyamrtam asnute


中譯
:
人應該完整的認識人格首神和祂超然的名字,還應該認識這個


非永恆的物質創造與暫存其中的半神人,人類和動物。這樣,

他便超越死亡,超越轉瞬即逝的宇宙展示,在神永恆的王國裡,

永遠過著充滿福樂,知識無盡的生活。


  One should know perfectly the Personality of Godhead Sri Krsna and His transcendental name, form, qualities and pastimes, as well as the temporary material creation with its temporary demigods, men and animals. When one knows these, he surpasses death and the ephemeral cosmic manifestation with it, and in the eternal kingdom of God he enjoys his eternal life of bliss and knowledge.

hiranmayena patrena
   satyasyapihitam mukham
tat tvam pusann apavrnu
   satya-dharmaya drstaye


中譯
:
我的主, 眾生的維繫者啊! 祢身上發出的炫目光芒,


蓋著祢的真實臉孔
, 請祢移開那個遮蔽著祢的光芒,

好讓祢的純粹奉獻者看到祢。


O my Lord, sustainer of all that lives, Your real face is covered by Your dazzling effulgence. Kindly remove that covering and exhibit Yourself to Your pure devotee.

pusann ekarse yama surya prajapatya
vyuha rasmin samuha
tejo yat te kalyanatamam tat te pasyami
 
yo ‘sav asau purusah so ‘ham asmi


中譯
:
我的主啊!原始的哲學家呀!宇宙的維繫者啊!

規範的原則,純潔奉獻者 終極之所,人類祖先的祝福者,

請移去祢超然光芒的炫耀光輝,好使我們能夠看見祢充盈喜樂的形象。

祢是永恆的至尊人格首神,像太陽一樣,我也像。

O my Lord, O primeval philosopher, maintainer of the universe, O regulating principle, destination of the pure devotees, well-wisher of the progenitors of mankind, please remove the effulgence of Your transcendental rays so that I can see Your form of bliss. You are the eternal Supreme Personality of Godhead, like unto the sun, as am I.

十七】


   vayur anilam amrta 
athedam bhasmantam sariram
om krato smara krtam smara
   krato smara krtam smara


中譯
:
就讓這個短暫的身體燒成灰燼,就讓生命之氣融會於於整體之氣中。

我的主啊!請祢記得我一切的犧牲,因為祢是終極的享用者,

請祢記著我為祢所做的一切 。

 

 Let this temporary body be burnt to ashes, and let the air of life be merged with the totality of air. Now, O my Lord, please remember all my sacrifices, and because You are the ultimate beneficiary, please remember all that I have done for You.


 

曼陀羅十八】


agne naya supatha asman
  visvani deva vayunani vidvan
yuyodhy asmaj juhuranam eno
bhuyistham te nama uktim vidhema

 

中譯:
全能的有著火般力量的主啊!我現在全面的頂拜祢,跪倒在祢的蓮花足下。

主啊,請引領我達到祢。因為祢知道我過往所做的一切,

求祢赦免我以往的罪惡報應,使我在靈修的路途上沒有阻礙。

 O my Lord, as powerful as fire, O omnipotent one, now I offer You all obeisances, falling on the ground at Your feet. O my Lord, please lead me on the right path to reach You, and since You know all that I have done in the past, please free me from the reactions to my past sins so that there will be no hindrance to my progress.
